“Cracks in the Home” by Len Cariou: When Love Fails the Test of Time

Recent photos of actor Tom Selleck at a California fast-food drive-thru have sparked renewed speculation about his health and lifestyle.

According to reports, Selleck, 81, appeared to have regained some of the weight he had previously lost after the cancellation of Blue Bloods in 2024, which ended its 14-season run. Earlier reports suggested that his wife, Jillie Mack, had encouraged him to adopt healthier habits, helping him lose around 15 pounds.

However, unnamed sources now claim those healthier routines have slipped. They allege that Selleck has returned to eating more fast food and that ongoing back and knee problems continue to limit his mobility. The sources also suggest he has been struggling emotionally following the end of Blue Bloods.

Insiders say Selleck had hoped for a career resurgence and remained optimistic about the possibility of a Blue Bloods revival. There were also rumors that former co-star Donnie Wahlberg might help him secure a role in the spinoff, Boston Blue, but those plans reportedly never materialized.

Despite those setbacks, Selleck continues to stay active professionally. He currently hosts, narrates, and executive produces Crime and Justice With Tom Selleck for The History Channel.

While reports claim he is disappointed that additional acting opportunities have not emerged, these accounts are based on anonymous sources, and Selleck has not publicly commented on the speculation surrounding his health or career.
