Mickey Callisto is the name that’s got Queen fans buzzing, and some are even saying, “Freddie’s spirit found a body.”

Callisto, 28, stunned music lovers worldwide with his original track “Supernova”, a powerful anthem packed with big vocals, theatrical flair, and a sound that pulls listeners straight back into the golden days of ’80s rock. Many fans say it feels like something Queen would release today — and they’re not wrong.

“Supernova” isn’t just a song — it’s a moment. And now, Mickey Callisto is bringing that same magic to the Britain’s Got Talent stage.

During his recent audition, Mickey performed Queen’s “Who Wants to Live Forever” in front of the judges — and left everyone speechless. He earned four yes votes and is now waiting to see if he’ll move on in the competition.

Judge Alesha Dixon couldn’t believe what she was hearing. “Is this Mickey? Is this Freddie? Whatever it was, it’s sensational. Your voice is absolutely stunning,” she said.

Simon Cowell agreed: “You’ve got to be remembered, and people are going to like you, Mickey. You’ve got a great personality as well.”

The performance marks a new chapter in Mickey’s career, who grew up in Town End Farm and first fell in love with singing at age seven after hearing the Durham Cathedral choristers perform. When he couldn’t afford to attend their school, he taught himself opera — and later discovered Freddie Mercury thanks to a teacher’s recommendation. The rest, as they say, is history.

Now performing under the name Callisto — a nod to his childhood dream of becoming an astronaut and his love of space — Mickey blends operatic skill, pop-rock energy, and true showmanship into every performance.
