Marisa Ramirez’s New Relationship Has Fans Asking: Who Is Her Special Someone?

This isn’t the first time Maria Baez has traveled to Danny Reagan’s new home base. Since Boston Blue premiered in October, the couple has been navigating a long-distance relationship, with Baez making several appearances in Boston. However, this marks the first time the former NYPD partners have reunited to investigate a case together since Danny left Brooklyn.

In a newly released preview, Danny Reagan (Donnie Wahlberg), his Boston Police Department partner Lena Silver (Sonequa Martin-Green), and Detective Maria Baez (Marisa Ramirez) join forces to track down Kiko Balzan, a murder suspect wanted in Brooklyn.

According to Lena, Balzan became involved in an altercation with two men at a Brooklyn nightclub before fatally shooting a 22-year-old victim. As Danny and Lena brief the team on the investigation, Baez arrives with crucial new information, revealing that Balzan is believed to be connected to a street-level criminal crew operating in Boston and is thought to be hiding out in the Mission Hill neighborhood. That’s what brings her to the BPD to assist with the manhunt.

“Let’s be careful out there, and let’s show NYPD Detective Baez how we do it here in Beantown,” Lena tells the team before they head out.

Once the briefing wraps up, Danny and Baez steal a quiet moment together. Danny points out that this is the first case they’ve worked since becoming a couple, noting that Baez has seemed unusually focused since arriving.

Baez admits she’s exhausted after spending so much time chasing the homicide investigation. Hoping to lighten the mood, Danny suggests they catch their suspect first, then make time to enjoy each other’s company afterward.

Their conversation hints that, beyond solving the case, the couple still has personal issues to work through.

According to CBS, the episode, titled For Those Who Weren’t Heard, centers on a dangerous cross-city investigation as Baez returns to Boston to uncover the truth and protect a vulnerable victim. The network also teases that separate investigations will push the team to confront difficult family dynamics while testing their personal loyalties and moral convictions.

The storyline continues a relationship that fans waited years to see become official. When Blue Bloods concluded its 14-season run in December 2024, the series left Danny and Baez’s romantic future unresolved. Boston Blue finally provided an answer in its premiere, confirming that the longtime partners had started dating.

Since then, their romance has faced new challenges. Danny relocated to Boston to be closer to his rookie police officer son, Sean (Mika Amonsen), turning what was originally expected to be a temporary move into a permanent one. As a result, Danny and Baez are now balancing their relationship across two cities, making every reunion—and every case they share—even more meaningful.
