CBS finally confirms the fate of Blue Bloods Season 15

Fans of Blue Bloods may have to brace themselves for the end of the Reagan family’s iconic Sunday dinners. After months of uncertainty and emotional appeals from stars like Donnie Wahlberg and Tom Selleck CBS has made its decision: the long-running crime drama will officially come to an end.

“We want to thank the incredible cast and crew for their dedication,” said CBS Entertainment president Amy Reisenbach. “While we’ll miss those family dinners, it’s time to give the show the sendoff it deserves.”

The announcement comes despite widespread fan campaigns and Wahlberg’s persistent efforts on social media, where he rallied viewers on X and other platforms. Even so, the network’s December shutdown date remains unchanged.

As the series prepares to wrap up, fans are reflecting on more than a decade of storytelling, emotional moments, and the legacy of TV’s most beloved law-enforcement family.

Cast React to the End of Season 15

Major cast members have not held back their disappointment.
Donnie Wahlberg, appearing on The Drew Barrymore Show with Bridget Moynahan, admitted he felt “upset and sad” about the cancellation. Moynahan echoed his feelings, noting how difficult it will be to say goodbye to a cast and crew that worked together like family.

Tom Selleck, who has led the series as Police Commissioner Frank Reagan, also expressed reluctance to walk away from his character. He acknowledged CBS’s plan for an eight-episode finale while hinting that the cast remained hopeful for a future beyond the network.

For now, CBS is standing firm and fans can look forward to a full and heartfelt farewell to the Reagans when the show airs its closing chapter this fall.
