CBS Officially Reveals the Future of Blue Bloods Season 15

CBS Confirms the End of Blue Bloods, Season 15 Will Be Its Final Run

Fans of Blue Bloods will have to say a final goodbye to the Reagan family’s iconic Sunday night dinners. Despite heartfelt pleas from stars like Donnie Wahlberg and Tom Selleck, CBS has officially confirmed that the long-running drama will conclude.

“We want to thank the incredible cast and crew for their dedication,” said CBS Entertainment President Amy Reisenbach. “While we’ll miss those family dinners, it’s time to give the show the sendoff it deserves.”

The decision comes after extensive social media campaigns led by Wahlberg, who rallied fans on platforms like X. Nevertheless, CBS’s plans to end the series in December 2024 remained firm. As viewers prepare to bid farewell, the show’s legacy as one of television’s most enduring family dramas will be remembered fondly.

Cast Reacts to Blue Bloods’ Final Season

Major cast members have openly shared their disappointment over the cancellation. Wahlberg admitted during an appearance on The Drew Barrymore Show that he felt “upset and sad” about the series ending, joined by Bridget Moynahan, who reflected on the challenge of saying goodbye to the close-knit on-screen and behind-the-scenes family.

Tom Selleck, who has long portrayed patriarch Frank Reagan, also expressed his reluctance to step away from the character. CBS has confirmed that Season 15 will consist of eight episodes, giving the Reagans a proper sendoff, even as fans hoped for a continuation elsewhere.

With its final season, Blue Bloods promises to honor the family, loyalty, and justice that made it a Friday-night fixture for over a decade.
