Blue Bloods Spin Off Boston Blue Finds Massive Worldwide Success

Boston Blue, the CBS spin-off of the long-running police procedural Blue Bloods, has been sold to more than 100 international markets by Paramount Global Content Distribution.

The distributor confirmed that additional licensing deals are currently in negotiations, following the series’ U.S. debut on CBS on October 17. The show also made its world premiere earlier this month at MIPCOM in Cannes.

The series has already secured broadcast and streaming partners across multiple territories, including Africa (M-Net), Asia (AXN Asia), Australia (Paramount+), Belgium (Play Media), Canada (CTV), Germany, Austria and Switzerland (Sky Deutschland), Greece (COSMOTE TV), Iceland (Síminn), South Korea (Coupang Play), New Zealand (Sky NZ), as well as Turkey and Cyprus (beIN and TOD).

Starring Donnie Wahlberg, Boston Blue sees the actor reprise his role as NYPD Detective Danny Reagan. In the new chapter of the Blue Bloods universe, Reagan transfers to the Boston Police Department, where he is partnered with detective Lena Silver, the eldest daughter of a prominent law enforcement family.

The series is produced by CBS Studios in association with Jerry Bruckheimer Television. Brandon Sonnier and Brandon Margolis serve as showrunners and executive producers, alongside Jerry Bruckheimer, KristieAnne Reed, and Wahlberg.
