Bridget Moynahan is giving Blue Bloods fans something to hope for. Following CBS’ cancellation of the long-running drama, the actress hinted that a cast reunion might not be out of the question. Speaking with TVLine Spotlight, the 53-year-old star said she’d be open to returning: “Yeah, why not,” she laughed, adding, “But we can’t have that many years away!”
The series wrapped in November 2023 after 14 successful seasons, despite strong ratings and a passionate fanbase. Moynahan admitted she was disappointed by the network’s decision. “I don’t quite understand it… We had tremendous ratings and compelling stories with solid values that resonated with audiences,” she said.
Looking back on the show’s legacy, Moynahan highlighted the deep connection she shared with the cast, calling them a “family on and off the screen.” She remains close with many of her co-stars
among them Vanessa Ray and Donnie Wahlberg. “We’re still celebrating birthdays and having fun out there. I miss them daily,” she added.
Moynahan and Wahlberg’s friendship goes back even before Blue Bloods, and the two formed a strong bond during their years on set. Wahlberg has even credited her with helping him reconnect with Jenny McCarthy, calling Bridget a “good doobie” for her matchmaking skills.
Though the show has ended, Moynahan’s comments offer a glimmer of hope for viewers eager to see the Reagan family share the screen again.
