Blue Bloods Fans, Rejoice Season 14 Is Coming!
After a long wait, Blue Bloods is finally gearing up for another season though fans may have to be patient a little longer.
Season 14 was initially renewed in the spring of 2023, but production came to a halt when Hollywood experienced both the writers’ and actors’ strikes. After 118 days of negotiations and picketing the longest strike in Hollywood history SAG-AFTRA announced a deal had been reached, officially ending the strike on Thursday, November 9, 2023. With the green light given, studios can now resume work, and production on delayed shows like Blue Bloods is back underway.
Donnie Wahlberg, star of the series and member of New Kids on the Block, shared the exciting news with fans via a video from the Blue Bloods set. He wrote:
“Thank you for your patience. It’s about that time again. Can’t wait to be back with the most amazing cast & crew on TV! #BlueBloods Season 14, here we come.
While there won’t be new episodes airing this fall, fans can look forward to Season 14 premiering in 2024. Though details about upcoming storylines remain under wraps, viewers can expect the return of fan favorites: Tom Selleck, Donnie Wahlberg, Bridget Moynahan, Will Estes, Len Cariou, Marisa Ramirez, and Vanessa Ray. There may even be a continuation of Jennifer Esposito’s storyline Danny’s former partner, Detective Jackie Curatola after her appearance in the Season 13 finale.
However, there is some bittersweet news: Season 14 will be the final season of Blue Bloods. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the last season will be split into two parts, with the first airing in winter and the remainder wrapping up in fall 2024.
Fans can rest assured that while this beloved series is coming to an end, its final episodes will give the Reagans a proper send-off.
