Bridget Moynahan, 53, is set to star in the upcoming indie film California Skate, a nostalgic story centered around a 1970s roller rink. The ensemble cast features Brooke Shields, Jay Mohr, Henry Winkler, Monique Coleman, Jahi Di’Allo Winston, Caleb Baumann, Kayli Tran, Hayden Carson Begley, and Elliot Gilbert Adler. Production has already wrapped.
According to IMDb, the film follows a group of teenagers navigating first love, new friendships, and a transformative night that marks a turning point in their lives. Deadline recently revealed the first images from the project, which is directed by David Kukoff. Moynahan also serves as one of the film’s producers, adding another layer to her involvement.
Meanwhile, the actress has been preparing for the highly anticipated Blue Bloods series finale, set to air Friday, December 13 at 10 p.m. ET. She has shared behind-the-scenes moments with fans, including photos from the 150th episode celebration and heartfelt snapshots alongside longtime co-star Donnie Wahlberg.
Bridget has been candid about the sadness surrounding the show’s cancellation. In a September interview with People, she expressed the cast’s disappointment, saying, “We’ve had such a good time. We all want to be there. It’s a real loss.”
She also recalled the emotional weight of watching Donnie film his final scene, a moment made even more poignant by Tom Selleck’s presence on set despite already having completed his own scenes. Moynahan described standing next to Selleck during the moment, emphasizing the familial bond they shared: “We were just so thankful… From day one that’s the way it went: ‘Nice to meet you. We are family.’”
Reflecting on her years with the series, Bridget said the love, respect, and genuine connection among the cast are what she will treasure most, calling the experience one that truly felt like family.
