‘Blue Bloods’ Star Still Hoping for Season 15 Despite CBS Cancellation

Abigail Hawk, best known for portraying Detective Abigail Baker on Blue Bloods, has revealed that she still holds onto hope that CBS may reverse its decision to cancel the hit police drama after 14 successful seasons.

In an exclusive interview with Screen Time, Hawk admitted, “Of course, we are sad, but you never know.” Even though the show’s sets have already been dismantled, she believes they could be rebuilt quickly if the network reconsidered. “There’s still a little teeny bit of a silver needle somewhere in the hope haystack,” she added.

Despite CBS announcing in November 2023 that the Reagan family’s story was coming to an end, Hawk and the show’s devoted fan base remain optimistic. Pointing to Tom Selleck’s memoir You Never Know, she emphasized, “The resolve is there.” Hawk also shared that she feels a noticeable emptiness following the show’s cancellation and suggested that executives might one day regret the decision.

Hawk went on to praise the dedication of her co-stars, including Donnie Wahlberg, Bridget Moynahan, and Will Estes, all of whom would gladly return if the opportunity arose. “We have clearly seen that it’s out of our hands,” she said, acknowledging the disappointment while also embracing the new possibilities ahead in her career.

With lingering questions and renewed fan enthusiasm, the possibility of Blue Bloods returning for a 15th season or even spawning a spin-off remains a topic of hopeful speculation. For now, viewers can only wait and see what the future holds.
