A Beloved TV Actress Has Passed Away at the Age of 30

Across 14 seasons, Blue Bloods saw the Reagan family face countless losses, with several beloved characters leaving the series for various reasons.

From police officers who moved on from the force to family members whose stories came to heartbreaking ends, the CBS drama said goodbye to many memorable faces during its long run.

Among the notable departures was Bruce Altman’s Mayor Robert Levitt, who appeared in the show’s early seasons. The recurring character first appeared in Season 1 and later returned in Season 3 after his daughter’s arrest. Although Altman has not publicly discussed his exit, he continued building an impressive career with roles in shows like Mr. Robot and Power Book II: Ghost, along with appearances in the Fifty Shades film series.

Another major departure was Sami Gayle’s Nicky Reagan-Boyle, Erin Reagan’s daughter. Gayle joined Blue Bloods as a recurring character before becoming a key part of the Reagan family storyline for nearly a decade.

She left the series during Season 10 to focus on her education at Columbia University but later returned for guest appearances. Since stepping away from the show, Gayle has appeared in films including Vampire Academy, Noah, and Netflix’s Candy Jar. In 2023, she also took on the role of Adele in Andrew Lloyd Webber’s musical Bad Cinderella.
